Canyon Robotics

Building Beyond Robots

About Our Program

Founded in 2021, Canyon Robotics is a student-driven program at Canyon High School in Anaheim Hills, California. Team members design, build, and program their own robots, dedicating many hours after school and on weekends, often working late into the night.

Many of our students began their robotics journey back in elementary or middle school. Along the way, they develop skills that last well beyond the competition field: problem-solving, teamwork, leadership, and resilience.

The experience challenges students to think creatively, stay focused under pressure, recover from setbacks, and keep improving together. Through every success and failure, they learn to build not only better robots, but stronger teams.

Each year, our teams compete in VEX V5 Robotics Competition events across Southern California and around the country. On multiple occasions, they have qualified for the VEX Robotics World Championships, where students from across the globe compete, exchange ideas, and make new connections.

Over the years, Canyon Robotics has earned awards for robot design, engineering, teamwork, and overall excellence, including the Excellence Award and multiple Tournament Champion titles.
